Hey all,

I have some 2nd year Cascade and Willamette (growing in western Hudson Valley) and seems they are getting very close to ready. Anyone else growing in this area have insight or making preparations to harvest?

Cheers!

We have already harvested. Centennial, Perle, and Newport. We are harvesting our Cascade starting this weekend. We are located 20 minutes south of Syracuse. (Clark Hollow Hops LLC)

I harvested my Northern Brewer earlier this week. Mt Hood this weekend. Chinook, Cascade, and KG sometime next week probably. 30 miles north of Albany.

1 Hour North of Syracuse.
Just harvested Centennial, Magnum, Heirloom VT. Harvesting Cascade next weekend. Could harvest some now but will harvest all the other 60 next weekend the 30th. However, I have an heirloom variety that kicked ass last year and ALL THREE test plants bloomed very well and DIED. Not sure. I believe them to be cluster hops grown around here years ago. Mother rhizome is 6 to 8 inches in diameter.
Any other New Yorkers have problems with anything this year? Tons of rain this year. Anyway, Centennials and Magnums kicked serious ass 2+ pounds on most plants. Vermont's did 1 1/2 per plant on average with smaller cones. VERY fruity though. SUPER fruit I'm calling them. First year with these too.
