Squeee!!!

I'm a huge fan, and will probably have to scour the interwebs for the torrents once it airs because no way I'm forking over extra $$$ to (Evil Cable Empire) to get the science channel.

I'm very excited to see what they do with these episodes, I think a prequel would be a cool idea (and it would be fun to see River Tam and Kaylee again - I would love some back story on Kaylee)

The headline was a bit of a tease. I don't think there are new episodes, they're just showing what we've already seen.

Only $2400.00... :drunk:

It would be neat to see it come back, but some of the main characters have steady work:
"Mal" on Castle
"Jane" on Chuck
"Inara" on V

Yeah and River is on The Cape, although I expect that will be canceled shortly...

Shoot, I was going to check that out. That bad, huh? I think Glau does a tremendous job as River Tam. I haven't checked out much since Terminator, which was actually not too bad, and her character was real good IMO.

Summer Glau is a pretty good character actress, and she's nice to look at (and hey, I'm a female admitting this). However, she has really managed to get herself pigeonholed into playing certain "types". I think her role on The Cape is like a version of her character on Sarah Connor Chronicles, except not a cyborg ;)

Wow. I would have thought THE cancelled show with the biggest cult following ever would have attracted your attention much earlier.

On the plus side, you can watch all episodes and the movie on one Saturday.

I didn't realize it was that big. It's pretty damned good, watched a couple more episodes this weekend.

I loved this show I remember watching it with my girlfriend (now wife) when it first aired, my wife actually knitted me a copy of Jane's 'Cunning Hat', I still wear it to work.

Same story here (well, without the hat, my wife didn't stick with knitting very long). My then-girlfriend, now-wife really enjoyed FireFly. There were definitely some ups and downs with some great episodes and a few not-so-great ones, but overall a great concept and story.

She also really enjoyed The Sopranos (i watched Seasons 1-5 a third time through with her and season 6 for the first time). We both love "House of Cards", and watch each season as soon as they come out. Couldn't get her started on "Taken" (the Sci-Fi miniseries), and while she watched all of Lost with me, she didn't like it all that much. On the lookout for another show to watch (streaming or DVD/BD). She wants to watch "West Wing" but I suspect I will get tired of it quickly. Started watching "The League" but so far haven't been that excited about it (although one episode was really great).

Breaking Bad? I've enjoyed Boardwalk Empire, also.

Wife got me into it well after it went off the air, and I'll happily call myself a fan. Very quotable moments in the series.

[From memory]
"Made it just in the nick of time. What does that make us Zoe?"
"Big damn heroes sir."
"Ain't we just."

THERES A GORRAM MOVIE? Shiny...I'll have to give amazon some more money, then.

My wife and I watched it a few years ago... Every once in awhile, I'll watch it again. I think it has good repeatability value.

Another friend and his wife recently watched it, and asked, "Is it too late to be mad that this show was cancelled"?

... It's never too late to be mad about that...

If you don't hate the studio for that F$%^up, you ain't doing it right.

The show was cancelled by Fox... *Sigh* I work for a subsidiary of Fox :smack:

I suppose I'm not allowed to hate too much... At least not out loud ;)

I can still hate on the inside, though!

Combines two of my favorite genres, Sci-Fi and Westerns. Add Joss Whedon to the mix to make the perfect show.
New show I love is Gotham, The writing for Donal Logue's character (Bullock) is very Jayne. You can also get you Inara fix as she is on the show too(start drooling).
