Anvil Foundry Recirculation Disc

I've done a few batches now in my 6.5 gal Foundry and have been loving it. I'm looking to try recirculating during my mash to help even out the temp and was wondering if the perforated disc that is part of Anvil's recirculation kit was worth it.

I have a sparge sprayer from one of my old setups. Can I get away with using that, or will I get a stuck mash without the disc?

Thanks! Are you still using that small 12v pump? If yes, do you have to restrict flow at all? I'm hoping to use one of the Bayite pumps (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G305PK0/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_rHWlEbF5B8N1H) since it has a reduced GPM.

You probably could. I am not using that pump anymore. I had some concerns over it being food safe.

You can get an in-line LED dimmer switch that'll reduce the output further.

That's not a bad idea, Bent. I was looking at hose clamps, but being able to adjust flow via a rheostat would make it easier.
