Another MLT Advice Question

I am beginning to plan on converting a RubberMaid 48 qt. cooler into an MLT. It will be simple and inexpensive as I will use a system very close to what is described by www.dennybrew.com with a SS braid for a filter. A difference in design is that my cooler has the drain valve in the center of the long side of the rectangular cooler.

My question is should I use a circular loop of SS braid attached to a "T" connector or have 2 lengths going east/west from the "T"??

It doesn't really matter assuming you're batch sparging. I'd prefer the T shape. I used to have a copper manifold with two square loops. I always caught my mash paddle in the loops. Wasn't really a big deal but it was kinda annoying. Now I have a single stainless braid (see pic). If I happen to hit it it just moves rather than snagging my mash paddle.

I am batch sparging, Ryush. I agree with you in that a straight "T" would probably be better. No need to get too complicated, right? Thanks

I would go with the "T", or a "Y" would work. I've seen some of those.
I have a big cooler, small braid. Works fine. It does help to tilt the cooler a little bit toward the drain.
