so... say i wanted to sell three keggles. the hlt has three 1/2" couplers, the mash tun has 2 and the boil kettle has 2. they are fully polished and in great condition all straight sided kegs. the tops are cutt off with 12" holes. im also including a full stainless hinged false bottom and 5 swagelok fittings. all the welds are tig and look pretty nice. everything is new unused.

what would be a good price for all this?
i told a guy yesterday 600 for everything and he said that was way to much. 600 is alot of money but i figured if you were gonna go buy all this new you would definantly spend more then that for the same stuff and you couldnt guarantee to get nice kegs.

Does not sound like it is too much. Would need pictures to really tell, but fully polished with all the couplings and a FB, etc. sounds like a fair price.

I'd say it's too much. Not crazy overpriced, but a little more than I'd pay. Maybe a good deal for someone who is dying for polished kegs. I doubt most people care if they're polished, though.

If you break it down, it's easier to justify the price if it's fair. Some guesses - feel free to correct me on these #s...

$40+ x 3 for shells -- $120
$25? x 7 for couplers -- $175
hinged, full FB -- $90
$?? x 5 swagelok fittings
polish job = LOTS of time + $25-$50 in materials

So basically $400 + fittings + tops cut out + polish job. I'd say it's fair, and should be worth it for someone who wants already polished kegs. Regardless, I don't think you're trying to gouge someone with the price.

well i sold my kegs just now, 550$. now i can start work on the new brew system, god only knows what i have in mind!!!

Glad you got a fair price for them.

I sold my keggles a while back. Weldless ball valve, somewhat dinged up exterior. One had a sight glass.

$180 buck for both, so I'd say that the ones you had were definitely worth every bit you were asking.
