Alternative for inverter sugar

Hey not sure if I can get this stuff somewhere else but my home brew store doesn't have it. Can I substitute malto dextrin for it? Can I just add extra belgian candi sugar.
Did some research and it just looks like syrup.

Invert sugar? You can either make your own by boiling it with some lemon juice, or just use simple sugar like beet, cane, or corn sugar.

I assume it's in a batch where you can simply add it at the end of the boil?
