My hops should be 1oz @ 9.3% alpha but the hops I have are 9.9% @ 1oz

I know it's close enough, but I want it perfect.

Whats the formula to correct this so I can weight out the right amount?

The difference between 9.3 and 9.9 is 10.8%. So use 10.8% less, which would be 0.892 oz.

At least this is how I see it.

Well, convert to AAUs and you'll have 9.3 AAUs. Since you are using 9.9%, divide your AAUs by that number, and you'll need .94 ounces. I'd just toss the whole ounce in.

like shecallsmeblue said... you're splitting hairs at this point. I would just toss the ounce in too. But then I am not exactly the most knowledgeable.

Done and done, whole oz packet going in... I figure my nose will inhale the other .06 worth of AAU when I open the packet.
