I'm a newcomer to making my own wine, and was about to go hunting for lots of bottles when I saw that I could store it in a 5L bag in a box (vinotainer?).

My question is will it matter if I take the occasional sample, or does that risk getting air in it and should be avoided at all costs? Commercial wine boxes give a lifetime of a month or so once opened, so I figured something must get in.

Apart from impatience, I thought it would be useful to see first hand how the ageing is improving it, but if it's a risk I won't do it...
