Hello all,

This recipe is a modificaiton of the JZ and northern brewer Czech Pilsner style. I have never brewed this style before and I figure I will give this lager a try over the last few cool months we have. I'm using Chicago Lake Michigan water so I plan to cut it 1:1 with reverse osmosis deionized water.

Batch size 5.5 Gal

Mash 154F for 60 min:
11.5 lb Weyermann Pilsner malt
.25 lb Wyermann CaraHell
.25 lb Weyerman CaraPils

90 min boil

Hops:
.25 oz Saaz (FWH)
1.75 oz Saaz (60 min)
2 oz Saaz (30 min)
1 oz Saaz (10 min)
1 oz Saaz (0 min)
Total IBU: 36.1

Misc: 1 tsp Irish Moss

Wyeast Czech Pils (2278)

Target OG: 1.058 (altough expect to miss it sligthly with my current BIAB efficiancy)
4 SRM
5.6%ABV

Please let me know your thoughts on this recipe and experiences brewing this style. Thanks.

Looks pretty good. I'd drop the mash temp a bit to get a little drier finish.
