I oxygenate for 2 minutes before I pitch the yeast but after that I pour in my starter in and let the yeast do its thing

Bonsoir

I am just qurious ... does anyone continue to aerate after initial yeast pitch ?

Thanks

After? No. Unless you are brewing a huge beer, where it is recommend to give the beer anothr 2 minute blast of 02 before the 12 hour mark, there is no reason to aerate once you add yeast. In fact once fermentation has begun any oxygen, (and that includes some nervous noobs who open their fermenter and give it a stir because their airlock isn't bubbling so they think something's wrong) added to the beer could oxydize and ruin it.

Why do you ask?

I came across some information that came with my aeration stone that spoke of aerating at intial pitch, then the second day then the third ....
it didn't seem to jive with what I understood of the deliterious effects from oxidation .. thus thought I would ask.

so a .115 beer would benefit from this second O2 blast?
