I am looking for a book or other resource on yeast. The focus of my interest is in the qualities of various strains. Both flavor and fermentation characteristics. At this point I am not so interested in culturing, propagating, & storage.

White Labs and Wyeast websites, and the forums. There are plenty of discussions for different yeasts and the pros have descriptions and recommended styles for each strain.
 
Uhh....
Best book on the subject is "Yeast" by Jamil Zainasheff (sp?). Not sure what you're looking for outside of what that book has to offer, but Google "The Brettanomyces Project" for some good Brett info. Otherwise, Wyeast puts out a nice glossy pamphlet, which describes their yeasts...
