If I have an existing recipe for a stout that only uses malt. Example Morebeer B3, or Guinness, and I want to add wheat (flaked or dried). Do I need to adjust the recipe malts? Or just add?

Be aware that wheat has no husk so if you are using a conventional mash tun you probably need to add something like rice hulls to replace the missing husk to provide a filter medium.

Your base malts should have sufficient enzymes to convert nearly half their weight in unmalted grains so limit the amount of flaked wheat. You probably won't want to add enough to matter but you do need to be aware of that limitation.

I replace a pound of base malt with a pound of wheat in a lot of my recipes. I only have to adjust my mill for the wheat because it is smaller than barley then readjust for the barley.

I don’t use rice hulls with wheat unless I’m using 50% or more wheat in a recipe.
