I have an American Premium Lager (my first lager) that I am looking to bottle this coming weekend. It has been sitting approx 2 months.

How can you tell if there is enough yeast in suspension for the bottle conditioning? I have a ale yeast cake that i can add to the bottling bucket but was looking for some advice. thanks.

You could add some of the ale yeast if you can do it in a clean and sanitary way. A better option might be adding a small amount of fresh rehydrated dry yeast. You only need a few grams of dry yeast to get the job done.
