What do you guys think about adding some yeast nutrient to the boil? I already make starters for everything (even going to be doing overbuilding so I can harvest BEFORE the brew not after!) so not necessarily worried about under performing yeast, but healthy happy yeast is always better yeast, no?

I always add it to the boil. Since I started, it seems like my beer is ready sooner but that could be all in my head...

Adding yeast nutrient to the boil can be especially helpful with extract brewing to increase the free amino nitrogen (FAN) which is available in greater concentrations brewing all grain. Adding yeast nutrients won't cause any fermentation problems when brewing an all grain recipe.

Interesting. I started added yeast nutrient about the same time I switched to all-grain so now I guess I will never know...

Thanks guys, I was really looking for conformation I guess. My brain says price + benefit = worth and this makes me pretty sure I was right. Thanks all ;)
