I haven't made this kit before, but it seems many who do bigger OG beers double pitch even with dry yeast. With this kit do I need to double pitch? Or am I ok brewing the kit as-is?

With only 8.6lbs of extract, it doesn't seem like you need to double pitch. What EXACTLY is the kind of yeast and how many grams is the sachet? If it's 11 grams, you should be set. Just aerate your wort well.

I think most of the BB kits come with Nottingham or Windsor. I think you will be fine with either. As Kaya said, I would really aerate your wort more than you think you have to.

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out! :mug:

So I just opened the kit, and it came with S-04. I have two more packets in the fridge - is there any downside to a double pitch? These are 11.5g packets.
