It looks like I will have enough beer for a few bottles after I fill my corny. I have never bottled before so the question is, do I need priming sugar or is there an alternative that I can use for a few bottles?

You could just use Cooper carb drop really easy to use 1-2 drop depending on bottle size and that's it done

If it's less than a gallon, I wouldn't bother trying to batch prime. Just go with drops. If it's a gallon or more, though, it's probably worth priming with sugar.

I think you can just use table sugar, 2 to 2.5 grams per bottle will get you close. I suggested to use a priming sugar calculator yesterday but there was some debate. The end result of the discussion with input from folks who know a lot more than I was .75 - 1 oz per gallon.

You can prime the bottles individually. Many use Domino Dot sugar cubes, the smaller size, one per bottle.
