My dad lived in Fresno and I remember it was hot. I miss all that fruit

I've eaten so much stone fruit this summer. The white nectarines have been my favorite this year for sure. My AC is working now though! Compressor fan needed to be replaced.

No doubt there, i agree. What style of martial arts? I did a little aikido and tai chi.
Toby what style for you?
What is a good one for kids.

Started with Northern Style Preying Mantis and Southern Style Hung Gar Kung Fu. That was most of my training, mostly non-contact. 100% in while living in California, but off/on in Texas. Then decided to take a stab at MMA in my early 40s. That's where all my injuries came from, still have a blown ACL I just deal with. Not recommended in 40s...

I'm calling the gif battle. Hunter wins the day.

@pianoman thats pretty cool. I mean how many people in their 40s give mma a go. On the way to Englewood Golf Course through the back streets right when I get to Federal there is this small building in the alley. The doors say Wing Chun Kung Fu. I would like to learn it someday. Seems like something special I can do with my son.

hey hunter, SWMBO has been bugging me about kombucha. I told her we likely have the equipment to start trying it out. Plus, I'm a huge tea nerd and have a ton of Pu Erh tea lying around (both raw and fermented). Plus plus, I told her that the crazy nugger that mails me things is the expert on it

Im wondering if you have any idea or experience as to what types of microbes can be used for the SCOBY. Could I try using some dregs from my sour blend? She's pretty keen on the sours I've made with it. Or should we definitely stick to using ones from a commercial bottle?

I'd be interested to see what kind of fermented tea a good sour blend would produce. It'd probably taste pretty different than a traditional kombucha culture though.

Maybe start a main batch with a commercial booch culture for SWMBO, and have a side batch with sour blend dregs for science.

Cool, sounds good. I'll save a few bottles worth to try out

Martial arts: I did judo for all of six months. Then summer hit, then I went to college. Now I'm too far from a dojo [emoji27]

Wing Chun is a good art for pressure points. Depends on what one prefers. MMA is about pure fighting. Traditional MA has more inner/spiritual aspects which seem to be not of interest these days. Kind of reflects society as a whole..
