Only heard of them through this and other edundant threads. Tried Legion barell aged and one I got in costco. Really great to have a few on hand.

Too slow out of the blocks and too lazy to get any KBS. If I see it I'll grab some this year but you know me. To thick to know a shelf turd from a ROFL turd. They come out on Halloween is it?

I plan on making one soon but will swith to a two vessel approach owing to the big grain bill. Anything over 1.08 all grain is going to be too much to handle with my setup. A IIPA should be a lot easier owing to the points from sugar additions. Planning one in the 1.075 range with some Chinook and Cascade. (I have a pound of chinook I want to use reckon it's a go big or go home hop)

Not going to pass up a chance to taste that stuff.

Don't know about the unsciency bit. I am considering a step mash to really control how dry I can get it. Thinking 140, 155 and 168 as opposed to a longer 148 single infusion. It's a few brews out still so plenty of time for me to make things needlessly complicated. Want to do some research on water profiles for the style too. I pretty much know squat about making a DEEPA

I need more Pils/Helles and a dry stout first. Maybe an ESB too.

If you aren't scared of DME, a biggish mash with a 3-4 point DME addition in the boil served me quite well.

That is why I always keep DME on hand. unless of course I enjoy a little too much and miss the fact post boil was too low on the last batch. Ended up on what might be a good session milk stout though.

I just hate how it is dusty and can leave a mess if I'm not careful.

I just reckon I'd have more fun using a mash-tun for change. Going to keep my eye out in the for sale section. Always MT's for sale from folks upgrading kit or going over to the single vessel brewing dark-side.

The more I think about it though the less I want to bother with the MT. A smaller batch size is an easy fix too. I could even partigyle another small beer out of the 1 mash for a big stout. (I have a 4 gallon pot that could net me a 1 gallon beer no worries)

No chance. I like my creature comforts of quiet early morning indoor brewing all year round, rain hail or shine. The heat doesn't bother me so much. 10gal upgrade at some point but it will be when I switch to eBIAB/eHERM. Not on the horizon just yet.

Sunday morning stout. I can't believe it's actually still available.
When it comes to hops, I'll take whatever I can get from neshaminy creek around here. Even their brewery only release stuff is still somewhat easy to get (if you are there within three hours of release anyway. Dank hill came and went in two hours.)

Man, good question. I rotate through styles, so it's hard to pick one go to. Lately I've been drinking sours and IPAs.

For sours I might pick monks cafe. I haven't had it in a long time, but I remember it being really well balanced and easy to drink.

For hoppy beers it would probably be Tree House Alter Ego. I've only had it once, but it blew me away.

I was thinking about that in that other thread that popped up. I don't really have a single specific "go-to" beer that I always have around, but I do keep an IPA of some sort on hand at all times. A lot of times it'll either be something local, or Two-Hearted.

My other cravings of DRINK ALL THE SAISONS or drink the biggest stout I can find seem pretty arbitrary.
