DT was my gateway beer also. Still to this day one of my favorites also.

Who doesn't like seeing the pink elephants? It definitely got me to realize that there's beer out there that actually tasted good. Drank way too much cheap crap in college.

What was the beer that got you into craft?
I remember having brunch with my girl friend at the time (who is now my wife). 1030 in the morning at Cherry Hill Mall were Houlihans once was, we ordered our meals. She ordered a coke, I said you know what, I'll have a Sam Adams. They were out of Boston Lager so I said I would try the Winter Lager. I didn't realize up till that point that beer could have a taste. Prior to that it was Yuengling, cheap BMC and pints of cheap whiskey every night or so.

Hard Cider, I tried making some a failed and the guy at the LHBS said to try beer. That caused me to go on a small bomber shopping spree to find stuff I liked and learned about all the styles that exist.

ancient hardwood floors. For the most part they were in decent shape, they were just under rugs for most of their existence. The previous owner died in the house and had a few dogs who weren't exactly house broken. I'm still working on removing all those deep, deep stains. Everything has been since sanded down. I'll find a picture of them...really nice floors once complete

My switch to craft was pretty gradual, I'm not sure I can pinpoint the exact beer. So many years of college were spent drinking Coors because it was cheap, Yuengling when I had an extra buck or two.

Same here. I don't think I ever disliked craft beer, just couldn't afford it much. Drank a lot of Bud Light and Miller High Life, and Shiner Bock when I wanted to "splurge for the good stuff".

Old Rasputin, Fat Tire, whatever Brewer's Best kits were cheapest, and whatever was on tap at the local brew pub were my first serious attempts at getting into craft beer.

I was on a vacation with my father in Crested Butte, CO enjoying the atmosphere and mountain biking.

I grew up watching Rocko. I don't think I'm much older than y'all.

I actually tried rewatching it a few years ago, but I was under the influence of, uhm, a certain substance, and it just freaked me out.

I always liked trying something different, even if it was a skunky import. But what really got me jazzed was the last summer of college, the only summer I spent at school instead of at home. New Holland Brewing was three blocks down the road from our house. Wednesday night was stein night. So I bought (or borrowed or stole, who knows) a big mug and went with one of my roommates. They used to do a wheat beer, I think it was called Zoomer Wit (AFAIK they don't brew it anymore). Had two big steins of that and stumbled home. Went back the next week, tried something new and loved that. And so on, all summer long. I was hooked on forever trying new and exciting beers. One of the best times of my life.

The old NHBC building is no longer there, the building was torn down several years ago. They've moved downtown into a nicer, fancier space. The old one was like the coolest garage you've ever been to. Roll-up doors, bar wasn't too fancy, picnic tables outside. Someone posted a pic of it on Facebook not that long ago from a year or two earlier than my time there. Had some great times there...from what I can remember.

Me and the boy sit down and watch Robots in Disguise every Saturday morning when the new episode is on the DVR. I have no idea why they run that show at 5 AM on Saturday morning. It's great. He just discovered Phineas and Ferb, which, thank God I get to watch Phineas and Ferb again. He's also into Octonauts, which has its moments, and Paw Patrol which definitely doesn't. We're a no Spongebob household. Long standing rule.

Sorry. Didn't mean to offend the friendly weenies. Having three younger brothers, I was forced to sit through disgusting amounts of horrible cartoons against my will. I can't cartoon anymore. If/when I have a kid, I'll reconsider and run for office in the weenie club.

That is the best of the more recent kids shows, in my opinion. I used to watch that every weekend with him kids when they were younger. I don't see it on anymore.
