Jerry Finn according to Wiki. Possibly the best pop-punk record of all time. Rancid at their best. I never liked their harder edge stuff, or any of their side projects. Lars's Oi! stuff especially isn't very good and he pals around too much in the greyzone.

Lars' true reggae obsession caught up with me. Yeah, I'm a Rancid hipster, first three records. Zero side projects, still prefer OpIvy. To the point that I was two beers away from getting the OpIvey logo on my left forearm instead of a cross.

I'm picky about skapunk (and 3rd wave, and really anything past the 2 Tone era). Was never that big into OpIvy. Did like Choking Victim though.

We're posting/talking about punk here now too? Can I join? Listening to this now (some old, some new-ish):

Hüsker Dü, always welcome. All the time. Any band on SST is basically okay by me. Comeback Kid is after my time but I like that song.

What about Husker don't?

Yeah, I've been slow to try that. Figured I'd let all the whiskey snobs clear the shelves first. I don't care about rankings or whatever. If it tastes good, good. If it doesn't taste good, no good.

It's good. It's cheap. What's not to love?

It's at least $26/750ml here. For that, I can get a decent bourbon that I love. I'm not huge on blended whiskey. I will eventually try it, though. Rye is A++ to me.

Love bourbon. Bulleit for mixing (aka, manhattans), woodford reserve for sipping. Local liquor store just got some of this in again finally:

Double oaked. Have a bit left in the house. First time I saw WR I just thought "*******... that looks tasty." It's been love at first sight ever since.

Congrats! You two have been through a lot in your first year. I hope for many more years of happiness.

Thank you, I know that's right. It's a miracle we haven't killed each other through all the **** but if we can make it through this we can make it through anything.

I assume "setting fire to a Cuban cigar" is a euphemism. If not, get off your f***ing phone. Or you should probably be off your phone either way.

Congrats.

Hahaha, she is very understanding and supportive. This here Cuban cigar is the first cigar I smoked after the wedding and am keeping this as a yearly tradition

I will be off the phone pretty soon though taking care of business.

$32 here (just checked the ABC site).

Gah. Still, at that price, that's cheap to me. I wish I could drink that stuff. The Irish and Scottish stuff is too expensive, at least when you want the worthwhile stuff. I'll do shots of Jameson maybe a couple times a year, but it's just not very good, and it's still $29/750. Redbreast is $60/750, and worth Every. Freakin. Penny.

I was supposed to go to bed. I haven't. I think I'll have another beer. Blond. Then I really need to go to bed.

About to hit the hay. At least 2 days behind on here. Had a fun weekend, and already wish it were Friday...

Had this tonight:View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229044.272477.jpg. Meh.

View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229061.713217.jpg. Love this $hit!

View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229091.027813.jpg. Nightcap, probably.

Earlier this weekend: View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229130.334388.jpg. Bunch of these ipa HB's. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229152.078618.jpg. Really liked this. Was skeptical after their apricot sour, but this was solid, and very crisp and balanced.

View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229198.613804.jpg. This was...interesting. Kind of a coconut rum-like sweetness. Probably wouldn't buy again. Needed more roastiness or something.

This, View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229270.684936.jpg, this. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1459229290.343292.jpg, and this.

There, all caught up. [emoji238][emoji482]

I had a few beers over at my brew-bro's place earlier. One outstanding brew, here:

It's like 24-proof rye whiskey. All the flavour, none of the burn. ROFLSAUCEAMAZING!

Morning friendly friends. Congrats on the 1st anniversary @brewinhooligan

Feel like I might be coming down with something. Nothing a long train ride with a bunch of floccers shouldn't cure.
