A friendly place for friends who drink

I think I'd like something similar, but not to that extreme. I'd just like to convince anyone of anything, have a silver tounge so to speak. Would be very helpful in the professional world, to make things smoother and quicker.

Just this morning something came across my desk. Our software isn't doing a good job with a client's business process. What they don't understand is their business process is completely backwards and is why they are having so many issues.

Haha, well, most of our clients are municipalities, so some of them aren't worried about efficiency or doing extra or double work. They gladly make their life more difficult with no common sense. The software doesn't do well in that regard. For example, taking verbatim meeting minutes when when a video recording of the meeting is taken.

I can imagine. My favorite conversation ever with the people who support our ERP involved me asking how I could break outside process costs from material costs in my cost of good sold and the response was "well, there is no way to do that because that is not an important thing to know". I about went through the roof.

I want to do that, but I'm not sure I understand the benefit of barrel aging cocktails. If you have a bourbon cocktail (let's say Manhattan or old fashioned) aren't they already kinda barrel aged bc of the spirit used??

I have had a couple BA Manhattans that were good, but I think the real transformative power might be with non-BA spirits. I'll let you know about the negroni in a few weeks.

just letting the cocktail age together, even without wood, would have a beneficial impact on a lot of drinks I think.

Uh... Sounds like that was overlooked in the design process, and now they are CYA. Time for a software change request. What's interesting about how our company is positioned, is we only sell (rather than engineer) a number of solutions, so we then have to go convince the designer how there needs to be xyz feature.
