Ugh...don't feel like I do the serious talks with the kids well. A local 14 year old killed himself yesterday and I find myself trying to explain to my kids that things that seems so important in middle school turn out to be silly when you get a little older. They should really require some intense training of some sort before you're allowed to be responsible for miniature human beings.

Tell them that some people take a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Depression makes it seem like the only way out though. Not sure there's anything to tell them except that every problem can be solved, nothing is as bad as it ever seems, you're always there to talk if they ever have a problem.

So true. I had a nephew that committed suicide. So it is something that strikes close to home for me. You just have to let them know that whatever the problem, it can be solved with time.

There are Toby beers and Allen beers on my porch, I have nothing of note left to do today, and I'm wicked hungover from last night for some reason. I only drank five beers.

At any rate, I might vanish.

You kinda did that last night. I ended up drinking by myself. Did you use some of this or something?

I picked up a bottle of Jameson aged in Stout barrels today. haven't tried it yet. also picked up some Songbird Saison from Tall Grass. haven't tried it either.

I thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of Guinness Jameson I bought. Enjoy

I got quite sun-flocced today. It was too loud in the house while the HVAC guys were tearing out my old unit and water heater and replacing them so I hung out outside from 7 am until 5:30 pm when they finished up and took my money. Now I am at work, my bald fivehead (or maybe sixhead) is glowing red and still all I want to do is go to bed.

That is a conversation I hope I never need to have. I agree a test for parenting should be required. I'm sure I would have failed.

Wow, all the more reason to enjoy my little guys while they're little. Sorry to hear that.

Coffee after work. Need the energy since it's just the baby and me.

Thunder and lighting out right now. Hope no hail.

I almost got that when I was there earlier. Probably should have. That Romantic Chemistry was underwhelming. Should've known, it's DFH...

Yeah I can't remember anything new from DFH that I thought was great. What's funny is I picked Blvd thinking it was a stout when they told me what it was, it only made me even more interested.

I remember liking the regular Chocolate Ale when I had it a few years back. The addition of raspberries sounds good.
