Having a big glass of my first (of two!) wines. A foraged muscadine wine that was bottled in October 2014. 16%ABV It has noticeably softened and become much more drinkable, but I don't think it has quite peaked yet. (It isn't the typical sweet muscadine wine...fairly dry, a bit darker red than a blush, fairly light body.) For a first attempt, I'm pretty happy with it.

@M
kanye.gif
ps.

Am I doing it right?

Personal brewday at work? Do you get to take the result home with you? Or are you just piloting up a recipe to see if it is something they want to produce full time. PS. I hate you more than ever now. Maybe I should build up a small electric brewery to take to work. Though the humidity would kill the office and our office managers would have kittens.

At least there is beer.

I find it funny that most of my posts are catch-up ones. Ok maybe its not funny.

I need a beer.

I really wanted to be promoted to untaggable, but I draw the line at Kanye

Ugh. Finally first beer of the night and it's officially tomorrow. Four hour trip up north turned into a six hour trip due to snow and ice. At least it means there's fresh snow on the slopes tomorrow!

I was long done. I bet it thought Bowsrer was in for the night. They're everywhere. Opossums and foxes too.

Raccoons are little bastages. They like to make people look like fools.

Sorry. It was the Funniest thing I found on a googly eye animated Google search.

I'm not sorry!

Had some Station 26 Chinook IPA earlier. Now on a small pour of Blanton's.

Bed soon.

How is that vandal Eyes? I almost bought that out before I got done sense and started brewing recipes from here and writing my own,

It's good I like it. Had a gift card with some money left so I spent the last of it on the kit. Definitely seek out a recipe nothing to crazy on the hops. Chinook to bitter centennial and cascade to finish and dry hop.

Have pork shoulder in the smoker since 8pm. Smoked some hatch green chiles

Copied, thank you!

Afternoon, 13:15, finally caught up. Seems like a lot of you guys had very nice Friday evenings. Even if '77 had a nice workout to go along with it.

Nice weather today. Wanted to meet up with the import qb and the receivers today, but they're being lame. Damn shame too. Perfect weather for football. Guess that means I have to go run instead. I hate running, but I should go for 6k.

Nightcap? God I hope.

This one goes out to mhurst11 and dainbramage.

This is exactly as boozy as I expected. Still tons of stone fruit and barrel. It's basically perfect.

The living room tile is dead. So is my back, my shoulders, muscles I never knew I had, and my hearing.

Used a jackhammer on a DIY project once and my hearing protection was inadequate. Now I have tinnitus. :(

Water before heading out for breakfast.

Mrrrnng. Looks like last night was...yeah.

Got an eye dr. appointment bright and early, then hoping to get over to Rhinegeist for a bottle release. Or maybe I'll go to Bockfest to day-drink. Or both. :cross:

Some friends gave us a jar of 'hot apple pie'. It's delicious and tastes as advertised. I just poured myself a second serving when I remembered - I think they make it with everclear. Fuuuhh...n?

Nightcap.

That recipe is awesome. I make it every year for the company Christmas party. I call it apple pie moonshine

Damn dog woke me up earlier than I would have liked. Shouldn't have eaten a meatball sandwich so late last night. I hate waking up with heartburn to start the day.
