I would love to do anything I have an interest in, I just don't know if they would be economically viable solutions for long term planning.

I need this. I'm convinced I'll never be happy at a job because I just get so quickly frustrated with the lack of respect, all the while working my ass off for some rich prick. If I didn't have so much debt I'd take out a small business loan, buy a real funking computer, AutoCAD package and start a design solution group. Man. That'd be awesome.

Hahaha...the auto-censor function screwed my image link...

The censor-broken link is more funny than an actual picture :cross:

CAD and I will run it. Fins will still be on canning...

Fins still canning lol... he's gotta work his way up.

You could fund brewery? CAD and I will run it. Fins will still be on canning... Wes will be the taproom hipster that scares off all the good customers.

If I ever got into the brewing gig, it would be as the finance, accounting, compliance guy...not the actual brewing guy. I think that is a tough industry right now. So saturated with a new brewery opening in every little town in the nation.

I'm trying to get out of this job. Ive been here 9 years, 3 months, 1 week, four days and this morning...its becoming like a prison sentence. High stress, no raise in 2 years, the people I'm assigned to work with are just...well, retarded for the lack of a better word. No idea what they are doing and its starting to make me look bad I think.

Been at my job about the same amount of time haha. Pay sucks, but we get our measly 2% annual raise though.

Coffee. Time to drive all over town, hoping to make all of the appointments on time.

My brother in law worked for a chem firm here in the city and was recently laid off along with half of the rest of their company. The industry in Delaware came to a grinding halt last month when they laid off maybe 5k people

my company laid off over 11K people and the other companies laid similar amount of people. No one is hiring and too many are out of work right now. Just glad I still have a job at least the bonus is guaranteed because of this retarded merger still going on. I'm probably getting divested anyway.

Morning friendlies...beautiful day along the lakeshore. Grand Rapids had snowmageddon but school is in session around us. First cup of coffee in over a week, finally starting to feel a little better from the sickness. Might even have a beer this weekend.

Schools all closed around here and the roads aren't even that bad. Funny, though, I drove north to my office this morning (I split my time between an office 20 miles north/east of home and one 20 miles south/west of home) and there is a marked difference between here and home.

I honestly think I would make for a real good travel agent. I love talking about destinations, helping people plan and that kind of stuff (I must of bombarded poor @mhurst111 with about 100 PN's in the last month about his pending trip lol)...but there are issues with it such as
A) I would make terrible money
b) who really uses travel agents any more? If you are informed in any regard you do everything on your own anyway. If you are completely disinterested in what you are doing or going, you don't care enough to discuss it with strangers.

I hear you. Would love to own a bakery, but cannot even think of giving up the relative financial security my current job provides. Not to mention, start a business like that and you work every day without break.

Holy funking list... That's ridiculous. Wow. There's going to be 20+ really, really jealous people.

Took wife to mall last night so I could 'get some new shoes', surprised her by having my mother meet us there. Took them both out to dinner. Embarrassed the hell out of her with a ridiculous birthday sundae. Then ran her to BJ's Wholesale and let her pick out an area rug for our living room to go with the new couch. Out of all the rugs they had, she picked the only one I liked so everything worked out perfect. It really ties the room together. Successful bday gifts so far. Go me.

Morning dudes. Coffee time.

Nice execution! I'm sure you reinforced the no canned food for the puppy after buying the rug? ;)

Coffee and oatmeal. My life feels like it is in a rut...

Yeah. The district just to the south of us (the line is less than a mile from our house) is closed, so wife was hoping for snow day but it didn't happen.

Go get a 94 Corvette and a girlfriend. That'll fix it.

I'd have to question our relationship status if she decided to buy canned food again after that PoOpSpLoSiOn. It was bad dude. Feel you on the life in a rut thing. This place can't keep work on my desk. By Odin's beard I **** you not, I spend 30 hours a week sitting here hitting refresh on HBT hoping someone wants to chat.

Hahaha...my wife says that my beer brewing and my new guitar infatuation is my midlife crisis. She says she is relieved that it doesn't involve a 20 year old blonde or a $80,000 car...

Tommy Emmanuel is on Bob & Tom right now... he's a freak on the guitar.

Things are getting ugly at my job too. They just cut a whole person from my budget....over 25% on a "projected" volume decrease of 8%. Somehow those numbers don't match up.

I have no (realistic) bitch about my job...but I am always, and I mean always, looking for new ways to make money by starting another business that is not related to my current job/business. I'm convinced that I will be earning my income in a totally different fashion than I am right now at some point before I retire...I just don't know how yet.

Income properties. That's my plan.

They just forgot to mention the 17% increase in executive compensation packages. You know, to reward them for making the "tough" decisions.

Moorings friendly friends. Did not want to move this morning. Kind of got body slammed by a moose of an 8th grade boy at church last night. My whole right side is bruised. Coff and Advil.

what are they selling it for? and how much riffraff is in the neighborhood? aside from you, of course. :D

Its actually not bad at all. I know most of the cops in the district, they are on fairly regular patrols and its mostly quiet. That was a police involved shooting right out front of the place maybe a year ago...car stop, the guy was reaching for a gun in the glove compartment.
I'll look into it for you :D
