In my town, there is a liquor store with a good selection of craft beers on damn near every corner. Here? No... Couldn't fit a fooking 40 min round trip in to go to a decent place.

The HyVee at 156th & dodge is decent, but gotta check dates for stuff that should be fresh.

Sitting in the armchair in the hotel room, in the dark. Drinking a DIPA growler as the 6yo is passed the effff out. Oh, and to complete the picture, it is in the dark, and I am listening to Netflix on headphones.

And, it's even better than a BIPA, it's a rye BIPA. I previously was obsessed with the Wookie. Such a great beer. Haven't bought it in a while, though. It used to be everywhere here, now just a few places I see it.

It's worth trying if you find it.

Based my first BIPA (Vader's Special Sauce) recipe on Wookie Jack. It's a helluva beer.

Sounds like I need to check out Costco soon as. I think I've seen it in Central market. I always thought it was an English stout or something like that just by glancing at the label. Not sure why, I sure as flip don't know any English Wookies. (does @Qhrumphf count?)

Our victory over the AFPFFWD brewery and the box-fort is all but assured. We have the high ground and the benefit of camouflage. I for one am not worried and welcome this schism that has laid waste to the thread leaving it rent-in-twain.

Guess it's been busy here! Watched back to the future with the kids and wife tonight. Stopped in the middle to make vanilla milkshakes. Great night!

Stopped at my local bottle shop tonight. They randomly stick cellar stuff out on the shelf. Today I picked up a 2014 Darkness and 2015 Rum King. And that meant leaving a 2015 Darkness and 2015 BA Darkness on that shelf (amongst others) as it was a bottle limit of 2. Will be back in the morning to see what's left.
