As far as I'm concerned just tell them i brewed it with you!

Funny you mention that... I was getting a growler filled the other day at the grocery store and the guy was talking to some olds about different beers, they didn't know what they wanted.

He poured a few samples, 2 crow peaks brews and the Vanilla Buffalo Sweat.

"Yeah, so these 2 are brewed in Spearfish, SD and I believe this one is as well."

I let out the biggest "well actually" you've ever heard and before I knew it, it was 5 minutes later and I was still talking and the dude at the counter's eyes were glazed over and the olds were just standing there looking at me like I was about to murder someone.

There are polyphenols created from grains and hops that can become chlorophenolic depending on the overall water content. Did you treat your water all as one or only treat the mash? What was your water treatment? What temperature did you add the salts at? Without having tasted it yet, my first thought would be high sulfate and hopping levels. High sulfate can have a salty/minerally taste. Hopping levels (especially massive late/dry hopping) can add significant chlorophyl that may come off as medicinal/green/grassy.

1st yooper and qhrumphf have been helpful in correction with the water profile for the next set of brews. I'm changing profiles using Brew'n water now. Just curious if there's another issue beside profile/temp.

I adjust mash and sparge to this profile. Add the minerals/acid at strike temp. Did use 3oz mosaic for dry hop 7oz total, but have 4oz before (other dry hops) without this flavor/sense. Thanks!

Way to rep manhattan. Cheers bud!

It's more simple than that... they just don't get it. Approved/controlled drawings can not be touched without consent of the agency, which is only after the specialist writes it up. Simply nothing can be done, at this moment.

Sign me up. About to see if the steakhouse I worked at in college wants the illest dishwasher this side of Lake Erie.

Couldn't you aim higher and be the best dishwasher in a 200 mile circum-Eerie area? Up your game so to speak.

Dag has been laying still in his crate all afternoon. I've got some korean-style shortribs braising in the slowcooker. Bet I come home to just a gigantic river of drool. Poor guy having to smell that all day.

Last beer before club meet. Carb tester of my Belgian Blond.

I was gonna hit the gym before club meeting but got home too late to bother. Gonna have to go afterwards. Joy.

Hb Irish red that was bottled last Thursday. Can't believe I forgot the whirlfloc. What it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in flavor. Usually I am a hop head, but malt bombs have been doing it for me lately. I blame @Qhrumphf. ****** this is like liquid malty caramel with a hint of roastiness. I want to load the fridge with them to sit and clear but if I do they will just be consumed. First world problems

With my cheap ass slippers on my falling apart porch at my 92 year old rental home? Yes. Yes I am.

Speaking of, getting pre-approved for a mortgage this week! House we saw Saturday was awesome. No apparent settling, cracks, or repair on the foundation. Seems to have been built well. We will see how it goes!

Jealous. Pix of house?

Only doing one! Its 4bd/2.5 bath, full finished basement, half acre lot, no backyard neighbors, wood burning fireplace with limestone surround (I freakin love limestone), nothing is really outdated, covered back deck, and the best part is that its 2,700 sq.ft! :mug:
