Also just tried the Pils and it was still a bit yeasty, so hopefully it changes in another week. Actually, I probably just needed to pull another bit from the keg to clear it. But anyways, had a twang to it that I did not care for. Not sure if it was process or that yeast. We'll see in a few weeks how the Helles with a different lager yeast fares. Probably need to start aerating for lagers.

**** hit the fan at work. Boss on vacation. Time for the little guy to make all the big decisions.
Not sure I'm paid enough to bail them out. Hmm.. what to do.. ?

Same here. I'm the only one capable of working on electronics and I've got some sassy relay logic and an intermittent voltage spike to troubleshoot.

Oh and if I short the wrong connection I'll accidentally sound the building evacuation siren. So its been an interesting day.

Edit: forgot to mention that I'm working off of wiring diagrams from 1977 that haven't been updated. I don't know if its 115vac or 12vdc until I put a meter on it. And by "meter" I mean "finger"... This is the excitement I crave.

In other news, I pulled a sample of my 13 day old Vienna Lager and I think she's ready for the polar plunge. No diacatyl that I can taste, 1.007FG and delicious. I done good.

I sent you no such diagrams and express no warranty as to their accuracy.

I can assure you, they are most inaccurate. I don't blame you though, it was a different era.

That's one of my problems today. Sales are trying to take information off a drawing from 2000. The drawing is dreadfully inaccurate. I told them they can't. They don't understand why and want me to "just fix it then", but it is a drawing controlled by an approval agency, so even if I did revise the drawing it would be at the cost of about 6 months and $10k.

So. They are furious with me. Our approval specialist is on vacation. Now they have to be mad at me until the specialist gets back, and reiterates exactly what I told them. Life will go on, all the stress they put me, swept under the rug.

Currently at wits end.

Can you say "Yeah, I'll go ahead and update those right away. Just send me written approval from the agency."

Let them spend a month on that and the approvals specialist should be back by then.

Come join the pump world, friend. We wear jeans and nothing's urgent.

More water while willing this day to end. It's been awfully quiet from @BeerMeDuffMan since he went on his walk. Hope he didn't kill anyone...

Didn't he say he snapped his phone in half? I thought he was mobile most of the time.

That might explain his absence.

I dunno, I'm just a buyer with a penchant for internet detective work.

It's more simple than that... they just don't get it. Approved/controlled drawings can not be touched without consent of the agency, which is only after the specialist writes it up. Simply nothing can be done, at this moment.

Sign me up. About to see if the steakhouse I worked at in college wants the illest dishwasher this side of Lake Erie.

Nice.

BTW. Was there a secret get together recently. A lot of folks here (3 that I've noticed not couting Hunter_LA5 's schizo approach) with new and scary avatars.

I miss the unicorn riding astronaut I have to say. But then I misse dthe 3 lil guys with the straight lines too.

What gives?

Lots of avatar changing last night. Some went back & forth for a while. It was weird.

Its been an adventure today.
It was my work phone that I broke. Breaking private money stuff, such as my own phone? Nah, will never happen. Far too cheap for that.
Been busy working on my own projects and finishing up old business before I take over the new role. The next three or four weeks for me should be pretty fun.

Any one here a brew expert? [emoji3] What causes salty flavor in ipa? I use RO, looked at mineral content and sodium is at 30ppm. Also, there's a slight plastic (bandaid?) flavor. This is a pilsner mosaic smash ipa. Tasted this in retails also..

More bad news: I think your pizza is upside down.
