Start using bro at every turn. You won't be asked back.

I like to aggressively call my female co-workers 'bro' in meetings... really throws them off.

"What do you know about inventory turns bro? Not my fault the brownership has $500,000 of dead stock they don't want to address.

Why don't you go plan a Christmas Party or something, Bro Derek?"

We actually drop a lot of bro bombs in our engineering meetings. I don't like my boss AT work, but it's pretty damn laid back. Maybe after the meeting I can go back and try to find my picture of the Sea Hag I enjoyed at work.

My ex manager calls me bro all the time. She's badass, so I let it slide. There's another manager that calls me brotherrrr, Hulk Hogan style. That's weird.

Hmm...I have been tasked with getting a growler of beer for a birthday present. Guy likes craft beer a lot but I've noticed he is not often drinking IPA when I am with him at a brewery or other craft beer place. He likes the reds a lot. So, easy call...get the red, right?

Here are my choices, no red. What they hell should I get him to make sure it is something he likes? Damn it, the DRIPA is so awesome but I'm not sure he would like it.

This gets my vote... close enough.

The Aldebaran looks like a good cross-over beer.

Good call. I had not read the description on that one. I'm leaning this way.

I like Saison but I think it is a risk if I've never heard him say that he likes them.

Might be just enough hops to get him to think about going down that road... which we all know is the slipperiest slope imaginable.

The amber seems like the next closest for his tastes.

(Side note: The Fluffer Session IPA? Penetration Porter? Is this place a front for a porn studio?)

meh, if reds are basically all he drinks im guessing its just cause he hasnt ventured outside of american ales. Ive got at least half a dozen buddies that didnt know what a "farmhouse ale" was until they tried one I had at a festival. Now its each their favorite style.

im massively biased towards it though

Get a bigger flask. (5L) for what you're brewing

I souped up my stir plate with some longer Neodynium magnets. I can run it full blast (which is good) and do 5L starter should I want.

I think you may have mistyped. I don't think it would handle 5G of wort sitting on it.

I've got some killer magnets if you're interested. Free-v- Nonfree

Just a thought.

Morning all BTW

Nope, not a typo. It vortex five gallons of wort. check out the video on midwest or norther brewer. If i could use my 3 gallon carboy on it, id have more than enough yeast for this damned ris already after a 2L step then 2 gallon step.

Out of curiosity, what brand/size of scale are you guys using for measuring your hops/grains? I need to pick one up, and don't want to break the bank. There's a couple stores on my walk home that sell all kinds of "herbal" measurement devices...

Ill throw in a second vote for an ultra ship scale over 50lbs. Also grab another $10 scale for hops, make sure its to .00 grams if you do water mineralization.

Brown coffee after funking with my grain mill. Its black coffee mixed with bromethazine. :D

I think I'm going to order a monster mill today. Completely deconstructed my barley crusher this morning like britain boy suggested and its still not consistent. Cleaned ever crevice on that damn thing and even oiled it. I got through the rest of my grist for the ris but it took fricking forever.

That and that pesky 'personal taste' thing that always seems to get in the way.
