Coffee and water. Didnt sleep in so I could start on my Siebel modules and get in a good 3-4 hours of work before football started. Havent received my access codes yet. Funk!

I wish I could afford Siebel. I got a Siebel shirt as judging schwag once that I wear like I went to Siebel :mug:

Why am I awake? I Don't need to be awake. Guess I can watch the battle of the out of form giants (Liverpool and Man U)

You probably know just as much, if not more, than this class will teach me. You can rock that shirt and get away with it haha.

Night cap, hides the ABV well, little over carbed but far from a gusher, tasty.
Thanks @finsfan !View attachment 330691

Glad it didnt gush! I actually shared a 750 of that last night about my Kriek and same thing, it was over carbed but never gushed. I hope you enjoyed it Chef, cheers!

It's becoming increasingly obvious as the morning moves on that I shouldn't have tackled that Bomber of BA Narwhal on my own.

Was it this year's? I picked one up on Friday, and have one from last year too. I may have to challenge myself to see if I can do it without much ill effects haha

You have a box to finish sir.

So do I though.

I was pretty finished already. Reminder, limit yourself to no more than two high abv beers before dinner. :drunk:

Glad it made it okay.

I blanked on DuClaw when Tom asked for a list. Oh well, he still kilt that thang.

Always up to do it again

Cluster f morning, with swim for the little one, lunch, errands and birthday party later. At least operation halve will recommence with the help of neighbors tonight.

 <rant>I am a little tired of the fact the SWMBO sleeps in and then compresses schedules unrealistically. If you know you have 5 hours of schitt to do, don't sleep until there are 3 hours to prep for the event. And don't get mad that I can't help because I have errands that I have put off all flipping week because of things I have had to do for you because you can't manage time.</rant>

I want to go to one of the sensory panel classes they offer. Maybe in a year or so.

I've got a Brewer's Association work shirt I won from Carhartt at a GABF one year, actually found it a few days ago and couldn't remember where it came from.

I wear it like I'm legit, but we all know I don't even brew, bro. ;)

Yes. This. Every day this.

But I get yelled at if I rush her.

Seriously. My wife always over sleeps. But don't worry, it's usually my fault, because I get up and shower and make coffee

WOOOO! Just got access codes about 30 minutes ago. Already through the introductory module and test, going on to the second one now. Only have to complete 3-4 modules a week and I assume these first handful will go quickly.

Didn't help that I had been drinking virtually all day.

You can't drink all day if you don't start early. Yesterday I did (9:30 for beer class 'graduation'). Today it's just coffee now. Heading to the Avenue for a crawfish boil shortly (even though I can't eat any, must keep SWMBO happy). @val214 it starts at 2pm.

This outta keep me warm!

That'll do it. I think Weller SR is under appreciated. I find it to be the best value in bourbon out there. Sure there's better bourbon, but for an every day drinker, one you can drink neat and still not be pissed when your friends want to mix it, can't beat it at $30 for a 1.75L.
OWA is great too, but seems to need some time to open up. Pour a glass from a new bottle and then forget about the bottle for a few months before drinking more. Makes a huge difference. And of course, Weller 12 is very good. If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of Weller. :D

Weller is awesome and the price point is fantastic.

My FIL told me 2 things to remember when I married my wife. 1. No take-backs. 2. Just say "yes, dear". It's wise to pick your battles. Plus, you now have banked some points in your favor.

I agree, but what's the story with that specific bacon?

Edit: I smoked some thick cut bacon yesterday and it is bang-a-rang

I got a 1/4 hog and the butcher was all like 'hey... We've got some wide cut bacon, wanna try it out?'

Gave me two lbs and it's just massive.

So far, this has been a pretty good weekend. Aunt's Bday party last night, and gorged on delicious junk food and booze (wife and 2 little ones stayed home). Got home, and got into too much scotch. Woke up on the couch at 4 am and went to bed. We had plans to meet by sister, bro-in-law and their 2 yr old twin boys for breakfast, so we got up pretty early around 7:30. I pleasantly realized I hadn't even touched my last scotch, still sitting in the den, so I started the morning off with downing that in one shot.

We made it to breakfast at 9, and learned the restaurant didn't open until 10, so we moved to an Irish pub that also has great breakfasts/brunches. So, we all pile in, 4 loud little boys (mine are 3 yrs and 10 months), and immediately order 2 breakfast stouts and bloody Mary's. THEN, we're freaking told we have to wait until 10:00 to order alcohol. WTF! Forgot about that stupid ass Sunday rule around here. Coffee'd it up until the clock struck 10. Breakfast was delicious, sausage patties, bacon, fried eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy! And finally our morning booze.

Have to clean the garage out now, so more drinking is in my near future. Happy Sunday to all, friends who drink!
