Cool, was just curious really. IMO, 'aged' and 'IPA' hardly belong in the same sentence, which is why I asked about the aroma.

I finally get to try the standard version very soon here. Pretty excited for that.

Box is packed up and will be with Fedex tomorrow [emoji481]

Hi.

Been freezing my ass off in the woods for the last few days. No access to the intertoobs. All the free Lone Star and Bud Light I could drink though.

Didn't get fired, but apparently I'm going to have to relocate in the near future.

Moving anywhere fun?

Then I know I've been down that road. Used to go to Roxborough with my Uncle.

There are people who've lived in Denver their whole life who don't know where Roxborough is, which is fine by me. Keep going to Red Rocks, that's the pretty park. :)

I liked Sue. Great pale ale. It's not ZD from what I've heard (you say about it), but I really liked it. Far from the best beer in that particular box, and definitely not TG's best beer at all. I dunno, I rank a lot of beers higher than most people would. I likes beer.

Funny. I found ZD to be extremely blah for all the hype. And i about fell over the first time I had Sue it was so good. But the thing about Sue is, once they started contract brewing it out of FL it lost a LOT of its punch. It's gotten better the past few months, but I stopped going out of my way to get it. If you can get it from the IA brewery I think the quality is much better.

They're in Littleton, off Broadway I think. Right by the High School that isn't dubiously famous.

$25 for The Abyss cognac version??? Regular is like $17. Not sure if I can pull the trigger on that.

Nope, nope, nope.
Abyss went up to like $19 bucks here last year and I'll never buy it anywhere near that price. It was $14 just a couple years ago. Not worth any more than that IMO. $25 for the variants? I'll let the beer hoarders/hipsters have all that. No thanks.

I was talking to my brother the other day and he mentioned drinking that recently. Sounds delicious.

it is pretty tasty. I think i'm spoiled by Living the Dream's Helluva Caucasian Stout that is available almost 365.

That is right by where my old office was in Old Town Littleton. Bought my wife's car from the Honda place right across from Littleton High. Nice little home brew store about 1.5 miles north of there on Broadway.

Agreed. $15 is about the most I could justify for any beer.

Pre gaming my Powerball win.

Don't worry guys, you won't be needing to hit me up for cash either.

I'll probably buy cognac abyss, because I'm a sucker. We'll see what it's going for though. Regular was $16-17 this year.

I'll be sharing my winnings with you all. $4 should cover about half a beer at the airport today, to be shared in pictorial form.

Another $4 winner- yay for me! Kinda glad it's over, the office powerball pool was getting outta control

That's what ticked me off... Brewery is 4 hrs away, I get FL bottles, lol.

Drinking a hefe, just finished episode V. One of the cats was enjoying it as well. View attachment 329929

One of the cats? As in, multiple cats?

The pieces are starting to come together.

We only have 2, not 17. The first one was planned, then happened to find the second one at her parents house starving as a kitten. She couldn't just leave it so the rest is history.

I think he's just getting ready to pounce on that mouse toy.

You streaming them or have the DVDs?

No, she hates that toy, neither of them like it. They prefer trash over what we buy them. Go figure. The first three movies are on VHS haha had to watch them in there intended form!

Coff. More reading about beer. View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1452776421.200991.jpg
