Supposed to start getting serious cold here starting Sunday.

Our high for Sunday is -1°, without the windchill factor.

Jealous. Wife works so I got two kids from 8-4 Saturday and Sunday. Although I did brew New Year's Day so I'm good for a while. What are you brewing again?

Also, ever notice that it's at least 5:1 women to male drivers who get stuck?

Don't know yet honestly, probably an IIPA though. Unless I get a wild hair... hardest part of brewing is deciding what to make.

The ratio I use when it comes to getting stuck in the snow Everybody else:me

Word. Imma throw my tow rope in my 4runner so I don't have to push them out anymore.

We aren't getting anywhere near there, but the lows will finally drop below 15°F, which is real winter...and which totally sucks. Think I'll set aside some time to sit outside and have a cigar tomorrow before reality sets in.

Yeah, our high for tomorrow is 15° with winds out of the NW @ 15-25 mph.

Brewing and smoking... we go hord out here.

Cleaned up most of the water in my flooded basement. Time to figure out if it was the washer's fault or the pump under the utility sink

That sucks. Great way to spend your day off!

Seriously. How hard is it to understand that if you drive a sedan, you have to be more cautious. I have always had an SUV so getting stuck has never been an issue. This is my first winter with it and I pretty impressed with my Xterra in Keystone and Taos. I tried to get it stuck a few times (for science of course) and it just wouldnt. :D

my drive in this morning was 3x the normal time due to 3" of snow. passed an SUV with a wheel broken against a curb and 2 other accidents involving 4-wheel drive vehicles, all in my front wheel drive sedan.
It's not the snow so much as the idiots behind the wheel that you gotta worry about...

Missing exits is a part of hunting around here... looking for public land, bull****ting, 'crap! we were supposed to get off there.'

Well, last time we went out, I had two city guys from IL in my truck and we missed an exit. I did a South Dakota u-turn into the snowy median, my vehicle started leaning pretty good to one side and the guy in my front passenger seat looked like he thought he was going to die. Turned all white.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? OH MY GOD."

I put it in 4 high and climbed out of the ditch and just looked over to him and said, "If you ever see me put it in 4 low, then you can start worrying."

He didn't ride back with me.

Solid point. I was incredibly pissed about how many jackholes were driving the speed limit on our drive home from TX after Thanksgiving. Complete ice for hours, people going off the road all over the place, and I still had people passing me at 80 in their mustangs.

While I've never been stuck before, I did pop my tire off the bead of my lifted Grand Cherokee in college when I hit a curb trying to turn at a T in the road. Ice doesn't give AF how many tires are spinning or how slow you are going.

Haha those poor city boys. They seem to always hate fun. ;)

Hey. Guy. You coming up for that Steelers game this weekend? All the beers on me.

I'm not doing R. Lee Emery quotes any justice today so I'm not even going to try lol

Its an even split game, I don't think there is a real favorite to win. I just may watch it. Are you seriously going to the game?

How will you ever survive? Better wear your wool-lined jean shorts.

I didn't think Dakotans ever took them off.

Good thing we do not have basements. It would be nice but flooding and radon gas. :rockin:

My IPA tasted too good last night. Damn this hangover.

Dude, besides the occasionally leaking, basements are the best. We are kinda sorta looking at houses and I wont even consider one without a basement. Do you even cellar, bro? ;) :D

Haa noooo... Going to just blow a ton of money on beer and get rocked with fellow Steelers fans. Can't believe they're going to win another Super Bowl. How exciting.

HA! This is all hilarious. Sorry to burst your bubble (or theirs), but KC is taking it home this year.

I'll love a basement. A permanent guy room plus doubles the size of your house and temp control. We do not have them here. I think its the soil or it'll flood too much to be built with one.

By the way I do cellar bro. Its not a cellar cellar but its a cellar neither-the-less.

I jumped on Halo 5 multiplayer a little last night and got in a game with a guy that every other word was bro. It was comical how many times he used it.

Oh. Didn't realize you rigged the NFL like you did the hbt fantasy league. Nevermind. Not even going to watch now. Do I need to send you beer when KC wins now as well?

I only use it sarcastically. I feel bad for the people who use it in their daily vocabulary and will be stuck working at Nutrition Zone the rest of their lives.

And I think you are right on both counts, the soil is not good at keeping water out of basements. Since they are more common than not here, I wont even look at a place without one. Having one has changed my life haha.

You're right, I totally called all my fantasy players each week and told them the exact stat line I needed to end up winning the season by 0.12 points. How did I ever think I was going to get away with that considering you pesky kids and that stupid dog were around?!?!?!

:D

But seriously, I do think they have a good chance this year. They have two great backs that have stepped up tremendously since Charles went out. D can be shaky at times but fierce when they are on their game. I was always a fan of Smith, even through the 49ers stuff, and think he is a great game manager. O, and they havent lost a game since the Royals won the Series. Science! Either way, it should be a fun playoff year as long as the Pats get crushed their first game. :D

If you believe anything Trump says, you can't have a basement because of all the tunnels from Mexico.

I bet Andy Ried a bucket of chicken that he will lose. KC isn't going to the super bowl. @Finsfan
Not sure why the hell it quoted a different post lol
