Just finished up a beer tasting at work (accompanied with chips and pineapple salsa), brought my Dark English Mild and RIS. Feeling unappreciated! Only 3 people tried, and they said "it's good". The rest did the ol "I don't drink dark beer." No difference if it's low alcohol, high alcohol, sweet , roasty or bitter, full bodied or thin etc. It's dark colored, do not want.

So I drank 4 glasses while eating chips on the clock. Not bad.

Anyone here know if gravity readings on "sick" sour beers will read higher due to the viscosity? I used the cantillion dregs in here that were sick in the starter. Tastes good, just slimy and weird mouthfeel right now haha

That would be a good question for the Milk the Funk group.

OT I will have to keep a look out for more porter. Better than I expected.

They should be, buoyancy and all.

Wait until it drops and then sample.

I've never had a sour go sick on me. Then again, with how long they take I have made a relative few of them compared to some folks.

Post gym dinner of water and black bean soup I don't want instead of the pizza and beer that I do want. At least the soup is tasty.

I suppose with you lot getting your beer jobs and what not I should open up the probrewer.com postings again and see what's out there.

Dredging stuff from a few pages back. On topic? Oatmeal Stout.

Exactly why I figured I needed to do it now. I didn't want to question or "what if" down the road without ever trying. I'm 24 and have no dependents yet so now is the time to make such changes. It wont be without sacrifice though. If I land that entry level job, the pay cut is half of my current salary.

I was 25 when I woke up one day and said "damn it, if I ever want to go to law school like I have always said, I better do it NOW".

Career changes at the age of 40 are a lot tougher than at the age of 20 something if you have kids and people who expect you to be an adult.

I'm at the point now where I need to $hit or get off the pot in terms of game changing life decisions (no kids, no major debts). Feeling pretty disappointed in myself what with working for the military industrial complex. I've already passed up a major "what if" in my life - thinking it might cause me to take the plunge on the next one.

Good luck Fin.

Wife at work, kids in bed...time to blow chit up. And, yes, those are Lincoln Logs.

Stack 2 of the shortest logs crossways on each other, set aside. Repeat a few times. Now you have tanks.

Make a lever from the long flat green piece and another short log. Use the lever to launch short logs at the tanks. They fall apart when hit.

Oh... You were talking about video games.

Happy birthday @Billy-klubb ! Ill be back with a beer in a bit, need to get the little ones in bed.

I figured it had to be higher. Just took a reading because i was racking it to secondary. The starter i pitched in it was sick so I'm too surprised. Tastes good tho!
