Yikes. I love their IPA/Session IPA. Though, as long as an IPA is more bitter than it is sweet, I'm not too picky. IPA. Bob Dole.. IPA... ipa...i... zzz.....

That watermelon beer they make is one of the worst beers i've ever tried but it isn't as bad as ballast point watermelon Dorado. I bought a single of watermelon Dorado took a few sips and poured it down the drain absolutely disgusting.

Oh. My tastes have surpassed that of a 12 year old so I don't buy things with watermelon in their name. I'm sure it's not good, but to each their own.

I agree in principle but I'm stricken with the disease of needing to try every beer that's released. That does lead to a lot of buyers remorse.

Haha I could imagine. I've had that Hell or High Watermelon in hand quite a few times.. never pulled the trigger. Really do kind of love Down to Earth now and then though. The black IPA was pretty "meh", but I don't have much experience with BIPA's as it is.

I have a single of pineapple sculpin that I paid $3.50 for in the fridge. i'm not that optimistic about it after drinking the watermelon Dorado.

Agree. Stopped buying it when they put it in the variety pack.

I've stopped buying any variety packs so I'll probably never have it again.

So we move from this...

Lets be honest, how many of us would survive to even get to Boulder? I read these dystopian books and think "I'd do this. But in reality I'd be dead in the first wave."

Also I'm drinking coffee, not much uninterrupted sleep last night.

to this?

If we can choose, I would like to start with everyone who hyphenates their last name.

Its good, but the grapefruit sculpin is better I think. Definitely more pineapple in the aroma and less in the flavor, tasty nonetheless

I stopped knowingly buying fruity beer after I bought into the hype and tried grapefruit sculpin. I still think you're better off just drinking Ocean Spray grapefruit juice. They taste the same, one is cheaper and likely almost good for you.

I wish I could adopt this practice. Whenever I'm struggling to pick something out, I always come across a 12 pk sampler and just go with it. Always disappointed. Usually old, dead beers and unhoppy pale ales. The only one I'll stand by is the Long Trail farmhouse collection. Love that stout to pieces.

I would agree that the pineapple flavor isn't really there like the grapefruit. Both of those are more an occasional IPA anyway - I don't think I'd be able to do a sixer of either.

Water after my soup for lunch. Only thing going for this day is that it is Wednesday.

If you want a grapefruit beer, try that Sprecher Citra Bomb.

Was all grapefruit... disappointing.

Some of the beers have suffered a little in the transition to their own brewery. IMO Toaster Pastry is addicting and I hope it sticks around.

Maybe they'll come out with a new steak toaster variant.

You are not alone.
Sorry, I couldn't find a gif or photo that wasn't creepy AF.

I've been working a lot of hours the last week or so and I've been out of touch with most of the world. in that time Peyton Manning became a horrible human being.

Hey @mcbaumannerb how was that Avery Vanilla Bean Stout? I've been looking everywhere for a stout that I can buy and enjoy similar to the one by Long Trail (they don't stock it individually here) and saw this the other day. There was no price tag and it was sitting next to a $40 bottle so I put that down and backed away.

That's why I stopped - seems like they are always offloading some old/bad beer in every box and I'm pretty sure they do it only to unload that inventory.

Its officially become fat Wednesday. Ordering some Insomnia cookies today as a snack. Red Velvet is back on the menu. Nice....nice

What, no girl scout cookies on the side?! :D

Not sure why everyone talks so bad about grapefruit sculpin. I think it's pretty good. The only problem I have with it is the price and that's why I've only bought it once.
But, as for the beer itself, I really enjoy it. Went through the sixer way too quick.

Not sure, just bought it last night but I have read some good reviews of it. I'll probably drink it this weekend so ask again on Monday.

My girl scout cookie connection fled her post...dunno whats going on with that. I've been otherwise ruined for cookies since December after I got cookie bombed via FedEx. After black forest cookies, I needed to take a break from what I once thought was a good cookie.

Do you get Atwater up there? Their Vanilla Java porter is pretty darned good, and only a few bucks a bottle. I thought it was reasonable even considering Philly pricing
