Now you tell me. Brew day with a friend yesterday. 20+ gallons of stout in fermenters.

Making dinner. Caramelized onions/mushrooms/sun dried tomatoes in big bad baptist reduction. I don't make meatloaf often, but when I do, I don't **** around.

Yummy Beer Camp. Tastes like the last two IPAs I've brewed. Floccing awesome.

In the floccin er with a child that has severe flu. On top of that our water line to the water heater was leaking and now the walls in my girls room are moldy and torn up. Have to wait until Tuesday to see if the apartment manager is going to let us out of the lease and pay our moving costs. Gonna hit the whiskey hard when I get home

Damn. I hope everything works out with the little one and the apartment. Mold + asthma are a bad combo, so your landlord needs to get on it ASAP.

Ok, I would classify this beer as somewhere between really bad and plain horrible. You can say it's not infected, but I would say "how the hell does that beer then end up in the bottle? Did they not bother to taste it?" It's so far off the mark from what I tasted in 2014 that it's impossible to believe it went into the bottle tasting this way. It has an acidic, tart, sherry-like flavor.

I can't believe I'm dumping this beer.

I think it's been covered, but call the number on the bottle and give them some info and they'll send you a check for whatever you paid (not including tax, so keep that in mind).

Nightcap.

I made a bunch of treats today and have a few more recipes in mind. @thatjonguy I hope you're ready for some snacks.

Celebration. Watching the end of a recording of the Broncos game. Totally surprised no one has ruined it for me yet.

HB hefe from 6 months ago. Still flat and sh!tty! New defective capper lead to 5 gal of barely-carbed bottles. (Caps all have a weird imperfect crimp - never had this issue prior to the new capper.) A grand total of two bottles have been carbed as intended, the rest just are flat as hell, and lost all their body and no head. Wife tried it today, and commented that it tastes like baked beans...View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1453096724.510831.jpg

Water before the treadmill ... I think I'll have to limit most of my activities inside since that wind has a bit of a bite to it.

It's farking windy as all hell out, too. Standing outside a good 20 minutes for a super late septa bus makes me think my balls developed frost bite. Wasn't it just 74 degrees last Sunday?

Bus was 20 minutes late. The Train broke down, left us stranded on a platform for another 15 minutes, walked in this morning from the train station. Its pretty nippy out, kind of regret shaving this morning

So you are going to pass all your knowledge on to us, right??

Lesson 1:

Hops bitter your beer and add hop flavors and aromas. The amount of bittering and flavor/aroma imparted is time and temperature dependent.

-End of Hops module-

Morning all. Full Throttle.

Coffee. Pretty happy I don't have to work today. Unhappy that my dog has a new found appreciation for licking my face to get me out of bed long before I am actually ready.
