I heard you guys were supposed to get 18-24 inches. That be enough to shut things down? Also, you see that video of the fool who parked their car next to Lake Erie and it completely froze over?

Nah that's not nearly enough, unless it dropped all at the same time. We didn't get closed down until we had 6' or so last year. It has to hit hard and fast for anything other than high schools and churches to close.

That pic is so much nope.

Coffee isn't working anymore. Might pop six sudafeds.

I imagine that type of weight from the ice will cause some sort of damage. Who knows, it may be fine and he just leaves there with no dignity. :D

First snow in Columbus today, not that much tho. Accompanied by a sore throat this morning tho, which sucks.

Signed up for Plan Bee Farm Brewery's Swarm membership last night. Interested to see how it works out. Couldn't justify the guaranteed 6 or 12 bottles a month at the 'Hive' level, but this way get access to online shop and they hold for pickup, no minimum purchase required.

Well. Why you park that close to the lake at any point in time during the winter, is beyond me. We're getting slammed pretty hard right now with snow, finally.

Maybe it's an art project.

Or the guy could say it is, to avoid additional embarrassment.

Very impressive. The worst I ever had to deal with was in upstate NY a couple of years ago. Had a nasty rain/freeze combo just before Christmas. We were out in the driveway the next morning with rubber mallets trying to break through an inch thick shell of ice on our vehicles. Not a fun drive back to Canuckistan that afternoon.

Taking a walk in the cold over lunch. Apparently a clipper system is coming (I probably should have watched the weather yesterday). Hopefully it won't screw with my commute home.

@wesleys - sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she gets over the cold and outgrows the heart condition quickly.

Yeah. 6 yr old daughter is sassy as hell. This morning she fought for like 15 minutes about brushing her teeth. If she doesn't get her way, all hell breaks loose. Thankfully, I don't let her get her way.

Glad I'm not the only one in this boat. My almost 3 year old can be an absolute terror. Yesterday he ate some flower fertilizer so I had to call poison control. Father of the Year!!

She had surgery at six days old to correct a major heart defect. Thankfully, we haven't had any complications from the surgery since then, just regular checkups to make sure everything is still fine. But, recently we noticed she was tired a lot and had no energy sometimes. So, her cardiologist has her wearing a heart monitor 24/7 and found a problem with her heart beating way faster than it should sometimes and it's not related to her activity level. It's called something, but I can't remember what it is right now. So, they're regulating it with medicine. I hate that she has to deal with all this at such a young age and for the rest of her life.

Sorry that your little one had to go through this, especially at such a young age. Hopefully all is well.

Brushing up on Labview, have not used it in years. There is a big push to automate our measurement systems, which are currently calculated by humans. Trying to eliminate human error.

Start at the source.

Eliminate humans, eliminate human error.

That's not too bad. You should still be able to make it out for lunch.

No it's not bad, just started. Already had my soup and salad thanks  The commute home will only suck because the plows are never ready for the first snowfall for some reason.
