i have a pm oktoberfest mashing on the stove at the moment, there is just over 3lb of pilsner malt in it, is it worth boiling for 90 minutes or should i just stick to 60 with that amount of malt?

:tank:

Anytime you are brewing with Pilsner malt you want to boil it hard and long. Really. 30 more minutes of propane is a lot cheaper than ending up with five gallons of butter-beer.
