They actually made it worse than last year, which I didn't think was possible.

I'm not explaining this well...

The form itself was fine and I liked that they numbered them. Handing them out at 6am was ridiculous. Figure out another way to allocate bottles. That's what I'm doing a poor job of saying.

The real problem was us idiots lining up at 10pm

Before details were announced there was a rumor that DH would be splitting up the bottle sales and 4Elf party. They essentially did that. The people in line partying all night weren't all able to come back at 11 to drink all day. Tons of people left after getting their allotments making the party more enjoyable.

I also believe that while people lined up earlier, there were actually less people lined up than last year. Last year, I talked to someone numbered 415. This year my second order sheet I got at 4pm was in the 450s. At a certain point they opened up sales to numbers "350 thru infinity".

Things to improve on: beer geeks being beer geeks.

I'd like to see the bottle sales be done via advanced ticket sales and then have the party be truly separate, but I don't see that happening.

Good idea, but there is only one reason DH would buy that much paper, and it isn't to print tickets on.

As always, ******* awesome party with tons of great beer and a great time hanging out in line with new and familiar faces. This was probably my last 4 elf, I just have a really hard time with the disrespectful and rude bastards that ruin it for others. That includes line jumpers in particular. I have extremely low tolerance for selfish ********.

I was standing near the scene of the fight. It was a fairly young guy screaming about line cutting (which didn't happen...the people he accused of cutting had been there all night). There was some shoving and someone got knocked over and then it seemed to calm down. Then a moment later the guy started screaming in their faces again. Someone had enough and hit him with a good right and he went down...may have been knocked the **** out. The dude never saw it coming. It's not like they were squared off for a fight. He was yelling and then he was out.

I was also right there and can confirm this is what happened

Overall I think it was a pretty cool event. I didn't have a problem with the way they handed out the forms, but I also showed up at 5:30 because I overslept and didn't see the rumored rush that happened when they first handed them out. FWIW, I was #376 and got everything on my list except 6 Legs. I was told that I was one of if not the last person to get Pt5.

You're probably not regretting getting on the road earlier, but it was less than an hour after you left when they started letting people just order whatever the hell they wanted without filling an order form.

I think the 666 is drinkin' like a mofo right out of the bottle. I am kinda regretting not stocking up on more of it.
