I have a few noobish questions about sanitation:
1. If I want to use my glass carboy after it spent the night with some PBW (to clean previous brew), should I still sanitize it with some Starsan afterwards, or is the PBW a sanitizer itself?
2. Even though some instructions I have read have said not to worry about Starsan residue bubbles from mixing in with the developing beer, I have always assumed that (a) it may kill some yeast, and (b) the nasty Starsan taste will get in the beer (even if it is very small amount), therefore I have always rinsed every bit of Starsan off. Am I being too paranoid?
3. How clean does the blow-off hose need to be... perfectly sanitized, or is a good rinse + 1 minute Starsan dip enough?
Thanks folks.
