OK so I brewed 3 different batches. All extract. An IPA, Amber and Red Ale.

I used Safale 05 on all three. The IPA and Red Ale fermented at 66-68 while the Amber fermented at 62-64.

The OG for the IPA was 1.066 and the other two were at 1.060.

All 3 had a final gravity reading of 1.020.

So I'm wondering a couple of things here.

First is what's the chance all 3 batches end in the same OG? I suppose good since all 3 packets had the same manufacture date on it. Maybe random chance?

Next item is bottle bombs. It doesn't bother me that I didn't hit my targeted 1.014 as much as the possibility of bottle priming these things and I get bottle bombs.

I only have one keg so I have to bottle two of the three batches.

Just looking for some insight/thoughts here :)

1.020 is a common stopping point when brewing with extracts. But it is still a bit of a coincidence that all were the same.

Really? Was unaware of that. Previous batches I had no issue getting below 1.016.
