This brew went much smoother than my first. Less nervous equals less mistakes. It's a Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Hope it all goes well, I'll let you know.

What's the recipe your using? Might brew this weekend too but know I need to pick up today cause closed on Easter.

Well I got two kits for my birthday. The one here is the Mirror Pond Pale Ale, and then I got a Flagstaff Honey Ale.

The Mirror pond was 7 lbs of light extract, 2 oz's of cascade hops, and white labs WLP 0001 California Ale Yeast. I can't recall the steeping grains I used, but the kit was ordered from here.

Those pictures make me nostalgic when I was extract brewing and cooling in the sink. I'm sure that beer will turn out great..

When cooling in the sink I would put a lid on the pot. To stop any nasties from getting in once it gets down in temperature.
