FYI- they were serving off a keg, not bottles, and pouring samplers from pitchers, so put the brakes on any conspiracy theory. Definitely no infection in the two glasses I drank.

Yes. Because "Sour Rare Bourbon County" won't be in demand at all...

I'll buy a bottle of Rare if I get the chance.

And then resell it on mybeercellar and buy some shelf 3F geuze with the profits.

As much as I feel somewhat bad about it I'll probably do the same. It's just gotten so easy to instantly flip bottles on the MBCs and/or Facebook and there are so many people willing to pay these dumb prices that I basically just want to cash in on any hyped stout/wild ale I get and use the proceeds to fund keeping my fridge stocked with IPA cans.

Not gonna lie, I've been thinking the same. Use that seed money to just drink awesome locals. AND the GF would be so proud of me for being "Enterprising" and no longer spending $ on beer. Just not sure how many showers I'd need for selling on MBC.

  1. Buy and resell a couple of new releases
  2. Go to Belgium and enjoy the **** out of taking money from idiots

lol at not realizing the market is gonna be flooded

How flooded? Not like people will able to just stroll up somewhere and buy a case. There will be thousands of bottles out there but how easy will they be to accumulate? I don't think people are expecting "FT: Rare ISO: All the white walez!" but to say it won't have tremendous trade bait value? In today's "must tick all the beers" beer culture? That's underestimating it, I think.

Worst case scenario you sit on it a year or two and hope that Goose doesn't have a Rare 2016 in the works.
