I have not only made the switch to all grain, but built a 20 gallon batch setup. Needless to say, I am very excited for my first batch. Most of my questions i have answered by searching here.

One of my unanswered questions is how much yeast to use. If it makes any difference, I am using a 27 gallon Blichman conical fermenter. Here is a link to the 5 gallon recipe I plan to follow (x4 though).

Do I just quadruple the yeast amount? Is there a better or more effiecient (ie cheaper) way?

Thanks for your help, any other advice would be appreciated as well.

The best way to know the proper yeast pitching rate is to consult a good yeast calculator. Here's the link to my favorite: http://www.mrmalty.com/calc/calc.html

You can keep the costs down by making starters for liquid yeast, and then saving and reusing the slurry. For example, for my last 10 gallon batch I needed 330 ml of yeast slurry from the previous fermenter. But for the first batch, you may have to buy a few yeast packages and build it up with a starter.

Thanks for the info. I only have an ipad and iphone, and mr.malty only has a paid app that will work on these. I am all for supporting it, just wondered if it was worth it for a one time question. There was another yeast calculator I found but it is flash and won't work on my devices. Uggggg Apple!
