I'm in a situation and I can either make a starter and pitch it in 6 hours or just pitch the vial. The OG will be 1.045. Is it worth doing a small starter or not?

Thanks,
Zach

If you can keep it sanitary then a small starter would be beneficial, even if only for 6-8 hours.

If it's a white labs tube I would say even a 1hr starter would be great. This will still help to wake them and give a little more assurance they'll do well for any wort under 1.050 or so.
