You have seen the shots I have pulled on it. I wrote pshankstar some tips and I will forward them to you. But without the ppf the shots are much thicker and better. The ppf shots are ok, but not as good. Note it voids warranty. Haha, my first pump wasn't the best and they sent me a new one no questions asked.

Sent some tips, and I assume this is true of any machine, the art in part is harmonizing the grinder, ones own grinder, the tamp, with ones machine to pull the best possible shot the rig will pull. I am aware that it cant pull the shots of other machines, but ultimately it only makes sense to pull the best shots you can. And @Kealia absolutely an ok place to start imho. I'll send you the full primer tips to get you going and you will be on your way. My wife drinks cappuccino or latte whatever it is and I drink iced drinks. I nail them all weekend. No matter what a good coffee helps and matters hugely. The flair and robot look awesome. I love the idea of manual brewing so much. If nothing else correct water temp. Yay Colorado low boiling point. I can see a flair in my future, don't see what's not to like. A kettle of hot water, light yirg and a baratza.

Edit, watching a video is that flair as portable as it looks? Shoot I am going to be pulling shots in my pop up.

I finally bought a pickup truck, after months and months of searching. Now for the struggle: do I want to spend my discretionary money on coffee stuff or truck stuff?

Don't mind me, that's just the redneck coming out.

You are correct, I asked a foolish question.

Buuuuuuut it did get me thinking. I could easily stow an espresso machine in the truck. Maybe a Nespresso would come in handy here. Get a power converter, and pull shots all day off the tailgate.

Sitting on the tailgate sippin' on espresso, drinking fireball, and filleting fish....that's the life guys. That is the freaking life.

I have a cheap espresso machine. Actually it was free to me. My dad used to dumpster dive because he was a crazy mother father. Well he found it in a dumpster and gave it to me. I cleaned it of course but it works perfectly fine. I know the fancy machines make better espresso but not good enough for me to buy one. Not yet at least.

Truck stuff. Truck stuff for sure

I picked this up toad last weekend. Had to buy the wife her SUV first in order to feel half way decent about myself for blowing so much cash

Holy crap! I'm not even going to post a picture of mine because it's nowhere near as nice as yours nor is it old enough to be a classic.

I'd be interested to hear how you like the four full doors once you've driven it a bit. My buddy and I test drove one earlier this week and the back seat is freaking huge - has more room than my SUV. But then he'd be losing some of the bed by getting the full doors. Considering we put our rods in there (fishing rods, you pervs), I'm trying to convince him to stick with the 6.5ft bed.

Nice purchase!

This is my 5th pickup & my 2nd crew cab and that’s the only way to go if you ask me. I could never go back to a standard cab or even super for that matter. My company truck is a 2017 F-250 super cab & the difference is remarkable in cabin space.

Cool, I pulled the trigger. It's Amazon and can always go back if she doesn't want/like it.
Thanks for offering to send some tips, I'll be on the lookout.

Congrats on truck. Why not a flair or something? Or at least that's what I'm thinking for camping.

Flair and electric kettle would be easy. Need to do something crazy like an old two group commercial machine with the HX pulled out and plumbed into the truck’s coolant. That would be sufficiently redneck.

A ways back, maybe on this thread, jammin and I went into some detail on camping gear. I already own a whisper light but any stove would do, electric better I suppose. Inspired to bring my 2nd delonghi out especially if it's full hookups anyways.
I'm cool with sticking to blade for travel camping so ppf shots , but idk secura and delonghi camping?

Careful where you grind that coffee in the boonies.

IMHO espresso doesn’t match the camping vibe. It’s too short of an experience & it’s roots are based on fast coffee.
I’ve made countless cups off the grid & savoring a mug of filter coffee is where it’s at. A plastic Melitta or V60 & pre-ground from home is where the magic happens. Hot water can be had from anywhere from a camp fire to the slickest gas burner (love my Jet Boil).
Maximizing the relaxation & having friends enjoy with you FAR exceeds any of the details we think are important

SM’s posted a slew of new coffee’s. All Ethiopian’s are 20% off & a couple nice ones are listed:

Hangadhi is a "wild" coffee in terms of intense fruit and rustic sweetness, notes of tropical fruit, ripe blueberry, stone fruit, grape, and a floral jasmine note. Rustic cacao and baking cocoa flavors mingle with stewed fruits in the finish.

See, this guy gets it. This is the ultimate goal.

I saw this deal but have so much coffee on hand I feel like I should hold off for now. Although that description sounds so delicious!! Ugh!

probably best to pass on this one. blueberry bomb coffees will turn you into a junkie. constantly chasing that first high. 2 years after my first cup I was sent to rehab but relapsed shortly after. it's been a very dark existence ever since

Good looking out. Hard to pass up a deal on gr1 Ethiopian. I wanted to get 2 pounds each of three or 4 but settled for 5 pounds of the guji. Should have waited for something better because I already have plenty bl sale guji, but while not best it's still really good. So yeah 5 pounds of the hanabonga for 30 out door, I am stoked.

I'm in for 5# of the Ethiopia Dry Process Guji Hangadhi. I also ordered 5# of the Brazil Dry Process Pedra Branca Lot 1. I hope it's as good as the previous years crop which made for awesome espressos - tasted like chocolate banana nut bread. I'm drinking the last of it right now. Thanks to @jammin for turning me on to the yellow bourbon!

Good looking out, thanks for posting. I'm going to grab some of that Ethiopian, too. It may not be the blueberry bomb that the Banko was last year (or was it the year before?), but I'm betting it's solid and that's a great price shipped.
