Clearance Hops!! Need suggestions for use.

So this is my first post in a long time. Trying to get back in to brewing after taking a while off. I bought a good amount of hops from a homebrew supply shop that was going out of business. All the normal name hops I was familiar with were all gone. I bought "German Hull Mellon", "Summit", and...

Lyle's Black Treacle... It is not what we would call molasses here in America but from what I have read it is more of an older version of molasses used in England. I am guessing it will be more like the stuff from ye olde days.

The recipes I have found, and most of them are from research at local museums and courthouses, call for "Barley". I figures I could use raw barley but that would give an over powering barley taste to a beer if it was a large portion of the grain bill. I figured use 6-row for the base and the...

Probably about 156 for 60min and then mash out with 168 for 15min. Fly sparge with 168 also. What do you think?

    Oatmeal vs flaked oats

Nope... Search it and you will come up with several threads on the topic. I think it has something to do with the starches or whatnot.

I wouldn't use home grown hops as a bittering hop for the sole reason that you have no idea of the AA%. Keep them for some dry hopping or late aroma boil additions. If you boil 1oz at 5.5AA for 60 min you get about 29IBUs. If you are off 1AA it will give you +/- 5IBUs. That can drastically...

    Hop Tea

My SWMBO has one of those kureig things and the cup with a screen so you can use ground coffee instead of the overly expensive cups. I have put about .25oz of citra in it on multiple occasions and it tastes pretty good with a bit of sugar.
