    CO2 tank in keezer

I am currently storing my tank in the keezer. About 38*F How much if any does that affect my pressure? If gauge is set to 10psi, is that really 10, or is it significantly less? I read that co2 temp/pressure is logarithmic. Double temp, pressure increases by 10...

    Newbies and Clubs

I have been brewing since February 2011. I brewed 4 batches of beer that I would not pour on a fire to put it out. It was undrinkable. I was in the Navy, it was undrinkable. Believe me I tried. I finally joined a local brew club. Best thing I did. The feedback I got was outstanding. Funny...

    Diacetyl rest: how to???!

I've read all kinds of posts and other sources about the rest. I am brewing an Oktoberfest lager. Currently at 5 days @ 50F. It is in a freezer with Johnson, digital controller. When it is time for the rest, do I just ramp up the temp to 60, and wait a week or so? Seems like it would take...

I am reading Palmer. I've got a couple questions please. If I understand correctly: 1st For a partial boil. He talks about adding 1 can or half your LME to reduce the OG of the wort for hop utilization, giving you the ability to use less hops with the same result? 2nd I am a little...

I've already determined that my first batch is going to be almost a gallon shy. That was detailed in another post. This is a "kit beer", everything pre-measured and such. When the bottling day comes, should I reduce the amount of sugar I use? Thanks again for all the help on here!
