I have read about adding more yeast to kick start a stuck fermentation, but can 2 or even 3 packets of yeast destroy a beer? Normal or high gravity....... doesn't matter.

I'm making the brewers best cherry cider. The instructions call for 1 tablet per bottle. The package of tablets says 4 tablets per 12 oz. Bottle. So what's the correct amount of tablets? Should I skip the tablets and just do the standard sugar in botteling bucket method? 5 gallons o.g. 1.051...

    Dry hop overkill

This was my first time dry hoping. It was the final step in my beersmith recipe for a blonde. Well, it tastes like an IPA now. Hops where added directly into the secondary, & left for 2 weeks. I did 2 weeks instead of 1 week because it seamed to kick up the ferm & I waited until it stopped. Its...

I am brewing the brewers best kölsh rite now. Has anybody brewed this kit before? Just wondering what to expect out of it as far as taste. Never brewed a kölsh before. Is a secondary recommended? It's been in primary for 3 days so far and is Rockin! Temps between 64*-69*.

    does witbier need special techniques?

I've had my northern brewers witbier in primary for 2 weeks. Wondering if witbiers are more challenging than others. Do they need more time? I am going to do a 2nd fermentation, do they typically need to be cleared up more than common ales?

    bottle condition temperature

What is the best temperature to store bottles while they condition? I bottled American cream ale and stored boxes in garage. Temperature is under 60*, to cold? Should I put it in the house now where the temp is 65-70? It's been out there for 2 weeks already, with some days temperature is 60+

    one packet of yeast enough?

I will be brewing Brewers Best American cream ale. I will not be using the yeast packet that came with the kit, I have a smack pack of yeast. Will this be enough yeast for this brew? My last batch was the Belgian triple, my local home brew store failed to tell me that I need two packets of...

    lower FG then targeted

Well, i added another liquid yeast and it's been 24 hours and it doesn't look like anything is happening. I'll let it ride for another week and check the readings again. I didnt go with sweetcells advice on this one because I read the post to late...seemed easier to just add another yeast...

    lower FG then targeted

Brewers Best Belgian triple. I got the instructed targeted OG of 1.083. Now 21 days later I should be ready to bottle. My reading was 1.053, target was 1.017 - 1.020. This means my ABv will be around 4%! Target is 8.5% - 9.0%. Does it need more time? What drives abv % down? This was my...
