    Your mash should hold heat better than that just due to the added thermal mass of all the grain. the grain will hold heat better than water.

    Guess i should clarify, the stout is done with primary, needs to be moved. The raspberry and chocolate have not been added yet. I'm looking for advice on adding it post primary, but your suggestions for the next time are welcomed and appriciated.

    Do hoppy beers make your pee stink?

    been drinking lots of IPA recently, normally drink darker beers and have noticed a smell change. don't know why but i pay attention to the smell of my pee, several cups of coffee lends a certain smell, IPAs do too, but none are as bad as the asparagus.

    Yeast reproduce by splitting from one yeast cell into two yeast cells, so no unique offspring, you would have a lot of stressed out yeast, due to both strains trying to take over the beer.
