    Using a Sodastream

The soda stream works as any other CO2 device. I would put the beer in the bottle and then carbonate it. Put a chill on it and then have a pint. During the bottling process what other stages occur other than corn sugar carbonation?

    Using a Sodastream

    Bottling sizes

So I bottled a Triple Belgian. I have on tester in a 12oz bottle and the rest were in 22 oz. The 12 oz really tasted sweet and not drinkable. So I let them sit for another. I cracked a deuce deuce last night and it tasted good. So my question is when it comes to bottling does the size...

    3x Belgian

6 weeks total and they have been in bottles for 3 weeks. Temp in brew room is around 68-70 degrees. The bottles are showing carbonation but the 12 oz tester was only slightly carbed up.

    3x Belgian

I have not chilled the bottles yet. I bottled in 22 oz. How long can I keep them in those bottles until they are over carbonated? I used a wyeast pack.

    Question About Cooling

    3x Belgian

WILLIAM'S BELGIAN DARK STRONG @ Williams Brewing I usually take the reading and if they are in the ball park then I am good to go. You guys makes some good points about really documenting the process. Now that I am trying intermediate kits I need to get a bit more serious. In this kit I did...

    3x Belgian

I brewed a 3x Belgian strong ale. I bottled 3 weeks ago and tried one last night and it was on the sweet side. This batch should have had a yeast started. Anyways, will the sweetness go away in the bottles over time? If yes how long? Thanks

    Question About Cooling

Well my outdoor cooling experiment did not go as expected. It took 45 minutes to get down to 68 degrees. The outside temp was around 24 degrees and not the estimated 19 degrees. (dam weatherman was off) This Black IPA kit had a lot of sugar in. It even called for 1lb of corn sugar at the end of...

    Question About Cooling

Right now the temperature is 15 degrees. So I have a black IPA kit I am getting ready to brew. After the boil I want to bring the temp down without wort chiller. So I am going to form a block of ice in a tub out side. Then I want to set the hot pot down in the ice. With the wort...

    Lager Kits

Can anyone recommend a good lager kit? I am in the Mid West and we should see temps drop soon. I would like to age it in the garage. Anyone have pros and cons with this technique? or is this even recommended?
