Help! Is my homebrew showing early signs of infection?

Nope. Looks like yeast rafts. Leave it alone! I know the first one makes you very impatient, but its worth the wait!

    Newbie questions

Depends how much sanitizer. half the bucket, yes it will be a problem. A little at the bottom. You're fine. Relax :). Yeast temp. Totally fine. Airlock. Should be fine as well. Nothing has took off yet, and the extra oxygen the yeast will eat. So relax, and go have a beer! The hard part has...

The Stasis - A glycol system designed for homebrewers - Pre-Order now for $599

How would this work with, lets say, a Spike temp control system? With a heater and a hot/cold plug on the temp controller? Would something replace something?

Last time I used it for bottle conditioning and left it for 4 months. Perfect. It will keep sucking away for a quite a while if done with a full mixed. Leave it for...

Yeast Suggestions for a Belgian Double IPA

Wyeast 3522 - Ardennes. Balanced esters, good flocculation. Used it a ton for Belgian Pales. Awesome yeast.

    Basement Ventilation Ideas

Replace the window with a glass block and a dryer vent window. Usually you get one custom made, installed, and measured for $100-150. Hook up an exhaust fan and flexible duct work to it. Put the fan where ever you need. FYI the rule of thumb for ventilation needs for electric brewing is peak...

Brewing with Club soda instead of water.

95% of store bought RO water has minerals added back as well. Check the label and see if it says "added minerals for flavor." Typically its the standard salts for brewing too! You can call the manufacturer and get a mineral report.

    Bottling, is normal?

Looks like condensation. Also looks like a ton of head space and clear bottles. Keep those suckers out of the sun/light and next time try to fill it up more.
